Heating Guide

Handling Guidelines for your Jack Stack BBQ Shipment

UNPACK & STORE: Your BBQ package arrives fully cooked, vacuum-sealed and flash-frozen to hold in all its flavor and moisture. Be careful with any leftover dry ice. No Dry Ice? No Problem. If it's still cool to touch, you can put the product in your freezer for up to six months.

THAW & HEAT: Thaw products in refrigerator for 24 to 72 hours depending on the density of the item. Some products may be boiled in their bag. For all other items remove the sealed plastic before heating.

The Heating Guide

To enjoy Jack Stack BBQ products at their best, proper heating is essential. We strongly encourage you to use your grill for heating meats when it's recommended. We do not recommend heating any of our products in the microwave with the exception of our two desserts, Mom's Carrot Cake and Triple Chocolate Brownie.

Our hickory-fired barbecue is fully cooked, vacuum-sealed and shipped with dry ice and in durable, reusable, insulated coolers.

Shipped to Stay Fresh

Packages are shipped Monday through Thursday via FedEx for delivery within the same business week. Arrival dates are based on earliest possible date for your recipient. Most ground shipments will arrive within 1 to 3 business days. Shipping and handling charges are based on merchandise total per recipient address and shipping method. Express service for guaranteed arrival dates and/or Saturday delivery (where available) is optional for an additional charge.

Shipping charges are applied to each shipping address provided.
Orders made by 11:30 a.m. (CT) will be processed that day and orders taken after 11:30 a.m. (CT) will be applied the following business day.

The baked beans taste like none other, and I suspect their BBQ sauce is what makes it so. The prime was out of this world good: tender, juicy, cooked to perfection. The sausage would have made a German grandmother proud. You can't go wrong with Jack Stack BBQ, but I'd recommend one of their sampler dinners to get a little taste of everything.

We are a family of Kansas City expats living in Salt Lake City now. Had to get some authentic KC BBQ to celebrate the Super Bowl. Jack Stack came through. Everything tasted awesome. They had us a little worried, because the order was expected on Friday, and wasn't delivered until Saturday. Also, the cheesy corn was a little on the runny side. I added some extra frozen corn and it was fine. All in all, a great meal, and every last bite was devoured! And it was a great day to be a Chiefs fan!

We've been KC fans since the 1980's although we've never lived anywhere besides NJ. That said, how else to celebrate Super Bowl Sunday without our favorite KC BBQ? It was a complete hit! As more people RSVPd, we ordered more and more and it always arrived on time (even earlier!)! Our guests were amazed with the taste and quality of the food! We needed to shake things up this Thanksgiving and Jack Stack did not disappoint! My family thought I was nuts as I cook a traditional meal every year. But circumstances were different this year and I need to inject a new concept to distract my grieving parents this year. Our dinner was amazing and just what we needed! The brisket was so tender, ribs were to die for and the burnt ends out of this world. We LOVED the beans and pilled chicken as well. It shipped as promised and was super easy to warm up in the oven and on the grill. We will absolutely be ack for more. Best decision ever!

Ordering food on-line is typically a crap shoot.... but not with Jack's Steak BBQ. Our turkey was replaced this year with pulled pork, brisket, burnt ends, and sausage. No turkey drama here! I have shipped Jack Stack Barbecue many many times, but never eaten any of it myself. I shipped some to a vrbo that we were going to be staying in to have as a meal for one night. We were visiting family that are missing KC barbecue. It was delicious and just as good as eating in one of the Jack Stack restaurants in Kansas City. I did not expect that! It was also very easy to warm up and the directions were great. The beans were marked as Gluten Free, which gave us peace of mind since our daughter-in-law has to eat Gluten Free.

They were too afraid to eat it and too thawed to refresh it. I called CS on Monday after they told us what happened. You could not have been nicer! A replacement order was sent out to them immediately and they were thrilled to receive the new order. Thank you for standing by your guarantee and I guarantee I will reorder from you again. My only thought is I wish you would ship UPS. They have a higher guarantee on time percentage.

The food was simply amazing! Unfortunately, the bottle of BBQ Sauce broke in shipment and the inside of the delivery box was totally coated in it. Not knowing how long the bottle had been opened, I threw what was left in the bottle away. The vacuum sealed food was easy to rinse off and is spectacular.

What can I say? Jack Stacks is our favorite KC BBQ and even shipping it all the way out to California, it tastes a-mazing. I love the create-your-own sampler because you're free to pick your favorites. We had some issues with our shipment this time, our bbq sauce cap was shattered on arrival and we had to toss it, and also our pulled pork was cut open on the end, but we ate it since it was frozen and it tasted fine. We've never had issues like this before so assume something happened during shipping. Wouldn't hesitate to reorder though, and we will every Thanksgiving or when the Chiefs are in the Super Bowl. (Or you know, whenever we're craving good BBQ because they just don't know how to do it right out here!)

For our create-your-own, we got burnt ends, chopped brisket, sausage, & the cheesy corn. All the meats we delicious, burnt ends were hands-down the best one. We will try the whole brisket, instead of chopped next time. Previously we loved the cheesy corn, but didn't hit the spot this time- not sure why. I placed an order and requested a delivery date prior to Christmas. Unfortunately, FedEx showed the package as being delivered (and left on the front porch); however, the recipient (our dog sitter) never received the order. I called Jack Stack and explained my dilemma. The customer service representative quickly responded by sending out another order which was delivered in 2 days... and it arrived on December 23rd!!! Now, that's a GREAT example of customer service!!! I will forever be a loyal, Jack Stack customer... delicious food & excellent customer service!!!

What an incredible gift (even if it was to myself)! After such a difficult year, it was a carnival when it came time for Jack Stack. We got seven meals out of our Big Taste of KC. My whole household was in top spirits, and the food was beyond amazing! I grew up in KC but now live on the East Coast (where they don't understand BBQ). I'm the only American in my household of Eastern Europeans, and it's been up to me to introduce them to how we do food. They usually say American food is too sweet or too fatty or too...
